Rewsey's story
Born in 2016, Rewsey's path included surgery and Early Intervention. Today she thrives academically, loves reading and tennis, and has taken the stage as Belle in her school play.
The Goldy Foundation is being built to help children with congenital differences, rare conditions, disabilities, and serious medical needs access life-changing care, technology, support, and opportunity.
“There are moments that divide your life into a before and an after.”
While six months pregnant with her first daughter, Rewsey, MaKaibree was struck by a car in New York City. Rewsey was later born with an imperforate anus after an in utero stroke. Two years later, Goldy was born with bilateral microtia, aural atresia, and a congenital heart condition.
Through surgeries, specialists, hearing technology, early intervention, faith, and extraordinary community, both girls have grown beyond every limiting expectation. Their journeys also revealed how financially, emotionally, and logistically overwhelming complex care can become.
The Goldy Foundation exists so no family has to navigate that journey alone.
Our mission is to accelerate access to care, technology, research, support, and opportunity for children with congenital, genetic, rare, and medically complex conditions—while strengthening the families who care for them.
The Foundation is envisioned as a trusted bridge—not a replacement for care providers or existing organizations.
A practical bridge to specialty care, temporary housing, transportation, assistive technology, and trusted guidance.
